#2. Laser Surfacing. As the name applied, it employ the use of lased to remove skin. Why so? It is because we want to let the new skin grow exactly in the right spot. It is said to be the best solution among others as it claimed to have better accuracy.
There 2 different laser that usually used by the physicians. The first one is CO2 and the second one is Erbium. This procedure is used only for the shallow scars.
What are the side effects? Once you have done this procedure, the skin will likely be swelled up and red. There will be an ointment which you should apply to the skin. It will look red for couples of weeks then it will turn black before turning into normal.
#3. Chemical Peels. It uses certain acid to remove the top layer of the skin. This way, you will get a smoother layer. Further more, it is used only on minor acne scars and it takes approximately fifteen minutes.
What are the side effects? There will be some redness and swelling on the skin after taking this medication. Some people also experience a flaking and drying skin.
#4. Punch Techniques. There are three different kinds of punch techniques. Punch replacement is the most common one. Punch replacement will remove the scars with a punch then replaced by a skin graft. It is the best way to deal with deep scars.
The other technique is called punch excision. This particular technique will remove the scar and close the wound to let it heal on its own.
The last technique is called punch elevation. This technique will cut loose the scar but instead of removing it, punch elevation will put it back with the level of the normal skin.
#5. Subcision. What is subcision actually? It is the condition when the scar is separated from primary deeper tissue. To be success with this particular technique, you will need to go over 1 to 3 treatments.
#6. Augmentation. It involves inserting fat or collage into the scar. This way, it will be on the same level with the surface of the skin. Further more, this method only last about few months.
